# Transfer equipment

Use **Transfer** when you physically hand equipment to another employee. Select the equipment, choose the receiving employee and complete the transfer. The recipient confirms receipt.

The transfer changes the **current holder**, not the permanent responsibility assignment. If the company wants to change who is accountable for the equipment, an administrator must change its responsibility assignment.
