# Employees responsible for a workspace

One or more employees can be assigned responsibility for a workspace. A responsible employee can work with equipment assigned to that workspace through **My Equipment**.

## Assign a responsible employee

An administrator opens the workspace, finds **Responsible employees**, selects an employee and saves the change. The workspace then appears in that employee's **My Equipment** interface.

## Change responsibility

Administrators can remove an employee from the responsible list or add another employee. One employee can be responsible for multiple workspaces.

## What a responsible employee can do

A responsible employee can perform permitted operational actions with equipment assigned to the workspace, including temporary transfers. They cannot appoint another responsible employee, remove workspace responsibility, or change the permanent responsibility assignment of equipment; those are administrative actions.

**Administrators assign workspace responsibility; responsible employees perform day-to-day operations for that workspace.**
