Equipment categories
Equipment categories classify equipment by purpose or type.Deleting a category
A category can be deleted even when existing equipment uses it. The equipment remains in the system and its category field becomes empty.Equipment brands
The brand directory provides a consistent list of manufacturers.Deleting a brand
A brand can be deleted even when it is used by existing equipment. The equipment remains and its brand field becomes empty.Positions
The positions directory standardizes employee job titles.Deleting a position
A position can be deleted even when employees use it. Their profiles remain and the position field becomes empty.Organizational units
Organizational units group employees according to the company’s structure.Deleting an organizational unit
A unit can be deleted even when employees belong to it. Employee profiles remain and the organizational-unit field becomes empty.Inventory categories
Inventory categories organize inventory types.Deleting an inventory category
An inventory type cannot exist without a category. Therefore, a category cannot be deleted while inventory types are linked to it. Resolve the dependencies first.Inventory parameters
Inventory parameters are reusable characteristics that distinguish variants of an inventory type, such as shoe size, diameter, shank type, color, season or brand. The parameter directory is company-wide. A parameter can be reused across multiple inventory types. For a List parameter, define the values that may exist in the company. Each inventory type can then allow only the subset relevant to that type.Deleting an inventory parameter
A parameter cannot be deleted while it is used by inventory types. Remove it from the related types and resolve the dependencies first. This restriction protects existing inventory variants whose identity depends on parameter values.Repair types
Repair types classify repairs performed on equipment.Deleting a repair type
A repair type can be deleted only if it has never been used in a repair. Once it has been used, it must remain in history. If it should no longer be available for new repairs, mark it inactive instead. The deletion rules are intentionally shown for each directory separately: some directory values are optional references and can safely be cleared, while inventory structure and historical repair records require their dependencies to remain intact.
