Workspaces represent places or organizational units where assets are used or stored, such as construction sites, warehouses, repair areas and offices.

Create a workspace

Open Workspaces and click Add. Enter a clear name and select a workspace type.

Automatic equipment status

A workspace can define a status that is automatically applied when equipment enters the workspace. A warehouse might apply In storage, while a repair area might apply In repair. Leave the field empty when no automatic status is needed.

Responsible employees

A workspace can have one or more responsible employees. These are not simply people who work there; they are employees authorized to act on behalf of the workspace and confirm related operations. All assigned responsible employees have equal standing. Inventory+ records which specific employee confirmed each operation even though the assets remain assigned to the workspace.

Save and edit

Click Save to create the workspace. Its name, type, automatic status and responsible employees can be changed later.
