Inventory means supplies, materials and other items that are best tracked by quantity, without distinguishing every individual unit. Use Inventory when quantity, availability and distribution matter, but a separate lifecycle for each individual item does not. Typical examples include PPE, consumables, construction supplies, formwork components and materials.

Working with inventory

Inventory+ lets you define inventory types and variants, maintain quantities, distribute stock between employees and workspaces, record movements and issues, and monitor balances. The history also makes it possible to analyse consumption and distribution: what was issued, to whom, to which workspace, and in what quantity.

Equipment or Inventory?

The deciding question is whether the company needs to distinguish individual units.
Equipment — when the history of a specific unit matters.
Inventory — when quantity, consumption and distribution of interchangeable items matter.
